Owned by Tam and her husband, Gil, The Chatol House & Gardens is a preeminent example of International Moderne architecture. The 10,000 square foot mansion was built in 1940 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (#79001346), not only for its architectural significance, but also for the prominence and contributions of the Chance Family who built the home.
Today, Tam is undertaking a sweeping restoration and decoration of The Chatol turning it into a one of a kind venue for stylish weddings and celebrations. Because of Tam’s background in historic preservation, careful attention is being made to ensure the modern use of the home is sensitive to the home’s historic significance. You can follow the restoration of The Chatol House & Gardens on Tam’s social media or via her blog “Saving Chatol“.
