The Country Club of Missouri is recognized as the premier Club of Mid-Missouri boasting state of the art golf, tennis and social facilities. Established in 1971, the main clubhouse was designed by 1990 AIA Gold Medal recipient E. Fay Jones. The Gold Award is the highest honor of the American Institute of Architects and recognizes individuals whose body of work has had a lasting influence on the theory and practice of architecture. Jones is one of less than 80 architects worldwide to have received the prestigious award since its inception in 1907. Jones is also the only of Frank Lloyd Wright’s students to receive the honor.
TAM STONE, Inc. is leading a multi-phase, multi-year interior redesign and decoration of social spaces throughout the Country Club of Missouri. Because of the Club’s architectural significance, Tam and her team are ensuring that all modifications and additions to the original structure are taken with careful attention the preserving Jones’ original design and vision. The ongoing interior decoration of each space is also designed to enhance the Club’s Prairie style architecture.
