Listed on the National Register of Historic Places (#79001348), the Maplewood Home was built in 1877 and includes many original features of the Italianate architectural style popular at the time. Today, the home is managed and curated by the Boone Country Historical Society and serves as a community museum and gathering place.
As part of the ongoing restoration and storytelling function of the Maplewood Home, Tam lends her expertise to the home’s caretakers regarding restoration and period decor. Over the past several years, Tam and her team have assisted with the renovation and decoration of many of the homes historic spaces. The process is ongoing and a wonderful opportunity for Tam to help preserve the integrity of such a significant home in her local community.
